Natural Gas Vehicles

• Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) High Occupancy Vehicle Lane Exemption: Georgia offers special license plates for alternative fuel vehicles, which allow access to designated HOV lanes.
• Commercial Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) Tax Credit: This credit is available to taxpayers who purchase new, commercial, medium-duty or heavy-duty AFVs that operate using at least 90 percent of alternative fuel. This tax credit is in effect through June 2017.
